Boys Basketball All-Ohio Honors

All-Ohio honors for Division 4 boys basketball were given on Tuesday, March 24.  Hiland’s Collin Blochlinger received Honorable Mention!

Lady Hawks Homecoming Info

  The Lady Hawks are expected to be back in Berlin tomorrow (Saturday) at approximately 2:30pm at the Berlin Burger King where they’ll hop on the fire trucks and go through Berlin shortly after. The Associated Press Sports Writers released their field of All-Ohio award winners for Girls Basketball Division 4.  Two of Hiland’s players received this special designation: Senior Megan Beachy received All-Ohio 2nd Team Freshman Kennedy Schlabach received All-Ohio Honorable Mention  

IVC Honors Roger Dunn

Roger Dunn received the Inter Valley Conference Lifetime Achievement Award at the Winter Sports banquet. During his 33 years of service, Roger was teacher, coach and Athletic Director. Thanks, Roger, for investing your time in the lives of others!

Hiland Girls BKB Receives East District Honors

The AP Eastern District Honors were recently made and the following Lady Hawk basketball players received: Megan Beachy – First Team Kennedy Schlabach – Second Team Rachel Horn – Third Team Alex Troyer – Special Mention Brittany Miller – Special Mention AP Eastern District awards will be out sometime next week.

IVC Winter Sports Honors

The Inter-Valley Conference and District 5 voted for the selection of First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention for area basketball players.  Hiland’s recipients: Hiland Boys Basketball (Team) – IVC Co-Champions with TCC Collin Blochlinger – 1st Team IVC; 1st Team District 5 Brennan Coil – 2nd Team IVC; 2nd Team District 5 Chris Kline

Winter Sports Senior Night 2/17

Seniors of Winter Sports will be honored tomorrow night (2/17) between the boys basketball JV and Varsity games vs. East Canton. This year, we have 14 seniors.  Come out tomorrow night and celebrate their careers as Hiland Hawks!  

IVC Tournament Results 2/14/15

It’s definitely a great day to be a Hawk! Here are the results of today’s IVC Championship games: We start off the day with the 8th Grade Boys IVC Championship. After taking victory against the #1 seed Sandy Valley on Thursday, the Hawks win over #2 seed Strasburg 36-31. Next, we have the 8th Grade Girls

Hiland 8th boys basketball took on the #1 seed Sandy Valley last night and the Hawks win 41-31. The Hawks play in the championship game on Saturday, 2/14 in the Hiland Gym @ 10am.
