Spring Sports Pre-Season Parents Meeting

Hiland Track Records Broken

This spring’s track season was one for the record books! In addition to having three participants in the state event, head coach Mark Fowler received The Daily Record’s Track Coach of the Year award (DR’s Saturday June 13, 2015 article). State Track Summary

Over the two-day event for boys and girls state track, here’s a summary of what the Hiland athletes were able to do: Sophomore Matt Troyer ran a 49.95 in the 400m Dash preliminary heat on Friday morning.  This time put him 2nd in his heat (3rd overall) to qualify for the finals on Saturday morning.

State Track Friday Update 6pm

Boys Track State Qualifiers

Three members of Hiland’s Track team will advance to the State Track meet held next Friday and Saturday (6/4-6/5) at the Jesse Owens Stadium in Columbus! (Sophomore) Matt Troyer will try to qualify in the 400m dash on Thursday at 11:10am.  If he qualifies, he’ll run in the finals on Saturday at 10:35am. (Senior) Brennan

Collin Blochlinger Leaps to State

On Wednesday evening (5/27), Collin Blochlinger long jumped his way into next week’s state track meet in Columbus.  Collin’s longest jump during regionals at Fairless High School was 20′ 9 1/2″… just 1/2″ short of 1st place. On Friday 5/29, some of Collin’s teammates will have a chance to make their mark in other events

IVC Track Honors
